Students are challenged to think from both a physics and design perspective when considering the robot’s movement, as well as a computational perspective when coding its functionality. Leeya Meyet won in the 10-11 age group with her project, The Rainbow Paper Scooper, which aims to clean up the roadside. Christian Tallarico and Songman Yin won in the 9-10 age group with their project called Waste Monster, designed to clean up oceanic waste. The winning projects from Reddam House Bedfordview were showcased at the school’s interhouse robotics competition. The competition, called the Inspired Builds Global Robotics Competition, included projects from different age groups.
